PARK SMARTER™ powered by IPS Group, UK is an innovative app that allows you to pay for, and extend parking time from your iOS or Android mobile device. It also lets you view and download parking receipts.

To register, simply install the PARK SMARTER™ app on your mobile device. You can find the app in the Google Play Store for Android or Apple Store for iOS. You do not have to create an account to use the App, but if you would like to store your payment & vehicle details you will need to do so. In this instance, you should navigate to the login screen and create an account by entering the requested information.

IPS Group, UK is a fully accredited PCI DSS Compliant company and part of this accreditation IPS Group UK are required to protect your information and will not share it with any third parties. All credit card information is tokenised (encrypted) and cannot be decrypted.

Parking Enforcement Officers use your licence plate number to verify valid parking.

To check parking rates, open the PARK SMARTER™ app and select a zone. On the next screen, select the time required click “i” at the bottom of the screen to check all the charges related to that session.

Yes, but you will first have to register your email in the PARK SMARTER™ “Settings” tab and set a Notification to send a receipt.

Yes. In the PARK SMARTER™ app, go to menu option and select “Parking Sessions”. You can view all past PARK SMARTER™ receipts here. To have a copy of the receipt sent to the e-mail address associated with your PARK SMARTER™ account, select the desired receipt and tap on the Email icon. We will send a confirmation email; please check your spam folder if you don’t see it.

Yes. You can choose to receive notifications within the settings menu: “Parking Session Started”, *Extra fees may apply for notification reminders*

In areas that use PARK SMARTER™, a Parking Enforcement Officer who does not see a parking ticket displayed on your dashboard will check your vehicle’s licence plate number to verify that you’ve paid. To avoid parking fine, please make sure to enter your correct plate number when you register for the PARK SMARTER™ app.

Yes, you can pay for multiple parking at a time.

The PARK SMARTER™ app accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express, However, individual car park operators (eg. Local Government/Private Operators) set their own policies and may not accept all cards.

No. You cannot extend your parking session beyond the allowed maximum time and you must move your vehicle immediately after the parking session has expired to avoid being charged. PLEASE NOTE: Each Local Authority/Operator sets its own maximum time policies. Please always read the associated signage. You can start out parked, but the space may convert to “No Parking” later in the day and PARK SMARTER™ will not be able to help you extend time.

Each Car Park owner/operator determines how long motorists may park in the same space.

If you forget your password, simply click “Forgot Password” in the PARK SMARTER™ app. Then, enter your registered mobile number or email address. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.

Parking enforcement officers will check your number plate to confirm that your PARK SMARTER™ payment session is valid. If you have questions or receive a ticket that you believe is in error, please contact the local authority.

Please make sure you’ve entered all your information correctly. The app will reject invalid credentials, so the problem may be as simple as a typing error. If you are still experiencing issues registering with PARK SMARTER™, please contact support@parksmarter.uk and we will be happy to assist you.
